Applications are invited for the following post(s) mentioned below, under the extramural
project “A study of low-density malaria parasite infection in the community and its transmission
potential in Udalguri Kokrajhar Districts of Assam and south Tripura” implemented by Regional
Medical Research Centre, N. E. Region (ICMR), Dibrugarh, Assam.

1. Project Assistant(Research Assistant):1 (one)post (Unreserved)
Place of Work: Assam
Essential Qualification: Graduate in Life Sciences /Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/
Biochemistry/ Microbiology from a recognized university with 3 (three) years work experience
from a recognized institution.
Or
Masters degree in Life Sciences /Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology
from recognized University
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Additional research experience in the field of Health research and
molecular biology
(ii) Research Experience in Malaria and vectors (ii) Knowledge of computer
applications.
Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years
Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month (consolidated)
2. Project Technician Il- 6 (six) posts (3 UR, 2 ST, 1 SC)
Placeof Work:Assam -1 Post (ST)
Tripura- 5 Posts (3 UR, 1 ST, 1 SC)
Essential Qualification- 12 pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical
Laboratory Technolog Or
12th pass in science subjects with One year DMLT plus one year relevant experience in a
recognized organization
Or
12th pass in Science subjects with 2 year experience field/laboratory Experience
Desirable Qualification: (i) Experience in Malaria Microscopy/Other microscopy works
(ii) Experience in Blood Collection (ii) Experience in field based health surveys.
Salary: Rs. 18,000/- per month (consolidated)
Age: Below 30 years
(B.Sc Degree will be treated as 3 (three) years experience)

1. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminable with the project. The Govt. of
India/ICMR/RMRC N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, will not take any guarantee for/will not
be responsible for any confirmation/ regularization of the posts in future.

accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt. from time to time. Age
concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be
admissible for experienced and skilled persons. Candidates must possess the essential
qualification as mentioned in the advertisement on the day of the interview/written test.
5. The applicants must apply in the prescribed application form and provide a valid Email

6 The candidate will have to stay and work in any other places of North East India
wherever posted/transferred in connection with the scheme/project work as deemed
necessary.
The eligible/shortlisted candidates will be intimated for personal interview/
written test via email. The decision of ICMR, New Delhi and ICMR-Regional Medical
Research Centre, N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, will be final in all regard. Canvassing in any
form or bringing political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment
shall liable for disqualification
