1. VACANCIES :

The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board invites Applications through ONLINE mode only in the prescribed proforma which will be made available on TSLPRB Website (www.tslprb.in) for Direct Recruitment to the Post of Assistant Public Prosecutors(Category-7) in Telangana State Prosecution Service. The dates for submission of Online Application Form will be intimated shortly through a Press Release. Candidates who are desirous and eligible REPEAT eligible only may apply through ONLINE mode only after having satisfied themselves of their eligibility for this recruitment. The details of vacancies as furnished by the Administrative Department i.e., Director 

of Prosecutions, are as follows:

3. FEE STRUCTURE:

Candidates with local candidature of Telangana State belonging to SC and ST 
Categories have to pay a fee of Rs.750/- only towards Registration of the Application, 
Processing of Application, Conduct of Examination, Maintenance of Portal etc. All other 
Candidates have to pay Rs. 1,500/- only towa
rds the same.

4. PAYMENT OF FEE


 Step: Candidate has to register on the
TSLPRB Website – www.tslprb.in by making his / 
her Mobile Number as his / her User ID. Candidates are advised to provide only such Mobile 
Number as their Login ID which will be in currency throughout the process of recruitment 
and will be in their personal custody.
II Step: The fee can be paid by using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or any other 
mode to be made available on the TSLPRB Website. 
III Step: After making the Payment, it shall be the responsibility of the Candidate to visit 
the website www.tslprb.in to submit the Online Application Form failing which the 
Application will not be uploaded. Such Applications shall be rejected without any notice and 
fee once paid will not be refunded.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

a) Candidates should satisfy themselves of their eligibility before applying. Candidates should not register more than one Application for the present Recruitment Process.
Submission of more than one Application for this recruitment will lead to cancellation 
of both the Applications, at any stage.
) Candidates should possess a soft copy of his/her passport size photo + specimen 
signature combined in jpg format. The Application will be rejected, if the 
Candidate uploads the Photo without Signature. The size of the file should not 
exceed 50kb (Minimum size >10kb). Please note that if the type of file is not in 
jpg/jpeg format, the system will reject the same and you may not be able to ‘complete’ 
the process of filling up of the remaining details of the Application Form.

c) After payment of Fee, Candidates can use the “Apply Online” in the main menu 
option in the website (www.tslprb.in) to fill his/her online Application Form. 
d) Candidates are advised to fill their Application Form themselves instead of handing it over to others.
e) Candidates are advised to carefully read all the instructions and understand before 
clicking on “I AGREE”.
f) Once the Candidate submits the Application, no corrections can be made. Hence 
Candidates are requested to carefully verify the details before submission.
g) After submission of online Application Form, the Candidate must download a copy 
of his/her submitted form in Pdf for future use. 
h) False information and Suppression or Concealment of facts will result in 
disqualification and render such Candidates liable for prosecution.
i) Candidature is provisional at all stages. Mere issuance of Hall Ticket to the Candidate 
will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the TSLPRB. The 
TSLPRB will take up the verification of eligibility conditions with reference to the 
original documents, at a later stage before finalizing the Selection after the Candidate 
is finally qualified.

5A. UPLOADING OF DOCUMENTS

Candidates are requested to check their eligibility carefully and fill-in all the relevant 
columns in the Application Form.
Copies of the following documents must be uploaded in support of the information 
given in the form where necessary. Failure to upload the same will lead to rejection of the 
Application Form.
i) Secondary School / Matriculation Certificate or equivalent Certificate in support of 
the date of birth
ii) Educational Qualification Certificate/s
iii) Certificate issued by the Bar Council of the State of Telangana / any State or Bar 
Council of India regarding enrollment as Advocate
iv) Certificate(s) of active practice for not less than three (3) years in Criminal Courts in 
the State of Telangana as on date of Notification issued by the local Bar 
Association(s) / Presiding Officer of the concerned Court(s) where the Candidate 
practiced
v) Study Certificate issued by the Government School authorities/Government 
recognized School Authority or Residence Certificate issued by M.R.O. (Annexure 
– II (A) or Annexure – II (B))
vi) Community/Caste Certificate for BCs: The Candidates who wish to claim concession 
in age and also reservation specified for the Backward Classes should submit the 
Community Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the competent 
authority issued on or after 1st April, 2020
vii)Community/Caste Certificate for SCs/STs: The Candidates who wish to claim 
concession in age and also reservation should submit the Community/Caste 
Certificate issued by the competent authority
viii)Candidates who wish to claim reservation under Economically Weaker Section 
category should submit the relevant certificate issued by the competent authority as 
mentioned at para 8 (b) (ii) of this Notification
ix) Certificate from the Superintendent, Government General Hospital / Superintendent 
of District Headquarters Hospital in respect of orthopedically handicapped persons if 
the Candidate claims reservation and / or age concession (Annexure – III)
x) Candidates who wish to claim reservation under MSP should submit necessary 
certificate (Form-I for representing India in an international Competition/ 
Multinational Competition in one of the recognized Games/ Sports) issued by the 
Sports Authority as per GO Ms No. 74, YAT&C (Sports) Department, dated 
09.08.2012 with its amendments issued by the Government from time to time. 
(Annexure IV).
xi) Certificate from the competent authority in respect of State Government employees 
and the Candidates who worked in the Army, Navy or Air Force of the Union of India 
/ NCC Instructors for claiming age concession.

6. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS


a) Candidates are required to go through the Notification carefully and decide 
themselves as to their eligibility for this recruitment before applying and entering 
the particulars completely, online. No relevant column of the Application Form 
should be left blank; otherwise, the Application Form will not be accepted.
b) Applications received online shall only be considered and the Telangana State 
Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) will not be held responsible for any 
kind of discrepancy.
c) TSLPRB will not be responsible for any inconsistencies or errors in the 
Application particulars submitted online. Candidates are therefore, advised to 
strictly follow the instructions in their own interest and to verify the contents 
before submitting the Online Application.
d) Particulars furnished by the Candidates in the Application Form will be taken as 
final. Candidates should therefore, be very careful in uploading / submitting the 
Application Form Online.
e) Incomplete / Incorrect Application Form will be summarily rejected. The 
information, if any, furnished by the Candidate subsequently in any form will not 
be entertained by the TSLPRB under any circumstances. Candidates should be 
careful in filling-up the Application Form before submission. If any lapse is 
detected at any stage of the recruitment process, the candidature will be rejected.
f) Candidates should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated 
and they shall not suppress or conceal any material information while making an 
Application through website. In case, if it is found at a later date that any false 
information has been provided, punitive action will be taken as per law.
g) Candidates are expected to behave in an orderly and disciplined manner while 
appearing for the Examinations. Any impersonation will be viewed adversely and 
such Candidates shall be Criminally Prosecuted besides being disqualified.
h) All the testimonials issued by the competent authorities shall compulsorily be 
produced as and when required. If the Candidate fails to produce the same, his / 
her candidature will be rejected / disqualified without any further
correspondence.
i) The claim of the Candidates with regard to the Age, Date of Birth, Educational 
Qualifications, Community etc., are accepted only provisionally on the 
information furnished by them in their Application Form and Certificates 
produced, subject to verification and satisfaction of the TSLPRB, at an 
appropriate time. Mere admission to any Exam or inclusion of the name of a 
Candidate in a Merit List will not confer on the Candidate any right for selection. 
The candidature is therefore, provisional at all stages and the TSLPRB reserve 
the right to reject his / her candidature at any stage of the selection without any
notice.
j) Candidates are requested to check their eligibility with reference to the laid down 
criteria carefully and fill in all the relevant columns in the Online Application
Form.
k) If Candidates who are Under-Age or Over-Age apply for this Recruitment 
Notification, TSLPRB is not responsible and their candidature will be rejected at 
any time. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

7. RULES GOVERNING THE POST


This recruitment is being done as per the provisions of the Telangana State 
Prosecution Service Rules, 1992 issued vide GO Ms No. 188 of Home (Courts.C) Department 
dated 30-03-1992 read with GO Ms No. 124 of General Administration (SPF-MC) 
Department, dated 30.8.2018, GO Ms No. 128 of General Administration (SPF-I) Department 
dated 30-06-2021, GO Ms No. 129 of General Administration (SPF) Department dated 30-
06-2021 and GO Ms No. 68 of Home (Courts.A1) Department dated 01.07.2021.

8. SPECIAL REPRESENTATION (RESERVATION)

The rule of Special Representation (Reservation) in terms of Rule 22 and 22 (A) of 
Telangana State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, shall be applicable.
a) Community:
i) Community Certificate issued by the competent authority (obtained from Government of 
Telangana State) in terms of GO Ms No. 58, SW (J) Department, dated 12.5.97 read with 
GO Ms No. 5 Scheduled Castes Development (POA.A2) Department, dated 08.08.2014, GO 
Ms No. 11 Scheduled Castes Development (POA.A2) Department, dated 17/09/2014 and 
GO Ms No. 2 Scheduled Castes Development (POA.A2) Department, dated 22/01/2015 and
orders / instructions issued by the Government from time to time, should be submitted at 
appropriate time in respect of SC & ST Candidates. 
ii) In respect of Candidates belonging to Backward Classes are required to produce 
Community Certificate (BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D & BC-E) from Competent Authority i.e., 
from Tahsildars in the State of Telangana not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar issued 
through E-seva / Mee-seva (GO Ms No. 16 BCW (OP) Department, dated 11.03.2015, GO 
Ms No. 3 of BC Welfare (B) Department dated 09.09.2020 and orders / instructions issued 
by the Government from time to time).
iii) As per General Rules for State and Subordinate Service Rules, Rule -2(29) Explanation: 
No person who professes a religion different from Hinduism, the Sikh or Buddhist shall be 
deemed a member of Scheduled Caste. 
iv) BCs, SCs and STs Candidates belonging to other states (other than Telangana) are not 
entitled for any kind of reservation.
v) The quota earmarked for physically handicapped persons in the said rules, shall, however, 
be filled in only by orthopedically handicapped persons whose speech, hearing and sight are 
not impaired.

b) Reservation:


i) Candidates belonging to Backward Classes shall submit the Community Certificate to 
claim age relaxation and the latest Certificate of Non-Creamy Layer issued by the competent 
authority of Telangana State to claim reservation. In case of failure to produce the Non-
Creamy Layer Certificate, the Candidate’s Candidature will be treated under “Open 
Competition”, if otherwise eligible, and the status cannot be changed later, at the Candidate’s 
will or choice, in any case.
ii) Candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Section (as per GO Ms No. 65, GA 
(Services D) Department, dated 19.03.2021) shall submit the Income and asset certificate 
issued by any of the following authorities:
a) District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Collector / Sub-divisional 
Magistrate / Mandal Revenue Officer
b) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar
c) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the Candidate and / or his family normally 
resides 
iii) Reservation to Orthopaedically Handicapped persons is subject to their eligibility to the 
above category of posts and shall be subject to Special Rules/Ad hoc Rules governing the 
posts. The required extent of deformity and the genuineness of the Medical Certificate and 
any ambiguity or doubt, shall be referred to the Appellate Medical Boards as per the 
instructions of the Government.
iv) The Reservation to Women will apply as per General Rules / Special Rules.
v) Reservation to BC-E group will be subject to the adjudication of the litigation before the 
Honourable Courts including final orders in Civil Appeal No: (a) 2628-2637 of 2010 in SLP. 
No. 7388-7397 of 2010, dated. 25.03.2010 and orders from the Government.
vi) The Government made amendments in State and Subordinate Service Rules as per GO
Ms No. 107 of General Administration (Ser.D) Department, dated 27.07,2018 that is in Rule 
2, for sub rule (20) wherein “Meritorious Sportsman” means the individual who has 
participated in the disciplines or obtained Medals mentioned in the Annexure-I and 
Annexure-II respectively to GO Ms No. 74, YAT&C (sports) Department, dated 09.08.2012 
or as may be revised by the Government from time to time.

9. MULTI ZONAL POST

The recruitment is being made to the Posts of Assistant Public Prosecutors in 
Telangana State Prosecution Service on Multi-Zonal basis as per Government Order vide 
GO Ms No. 68 of Home (Courts-A) Department, dated 1-7-2021 and is subject to the 
outcome of the litigation pending before the Hon’ble Courts and pertinent orders to be issued 
by the Government in this regard, if any.

10. INSTRUCTIONS TO BE READ CAREFULLY


The requisite educational qualification, experience, age and procedure to be 
followed for selection are given below. The Candidates must read the instructions 
given in this Notification as well as “Instructions for filling the Application Form” 
(issued along with the Application Form) carefully in their own interest.

11. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR 

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION)


The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all 
eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of 
the examination will be purely provisional and subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility 
conditions.
Mere issue of Hall Ticket to the Candidate will not imply that his / her candidature 
has been finally cleared by the Board
The TSLPRB will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to 
original documents only after the Candidate is finally qualified.

Note: The date of birth accepted by the TSLPRB is that entered in the Secondary School Certificate 
or Matriculation or an equivalent examination certificate. No other document relating to age including

The Candidate must possess a bachelor’s


degree in any subject along with a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB / BL) awarded by any 

University in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act or
a State Act or of any Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or any 
other equivalent qualification. The Candidates who have passed five-year course in Law after 

their Intermediate are also eligible.

AND

C. Experience: The Candidate must have practiced as an Advocate for not less than 
three (3) years with active practice in Criminal Courts in the State as on date of Notification i.e., 4
th July 2021.
D. Medical Standards: 
i) The Candidate should possess sound health and be free from any bodily defect or infirmity which will render him/ her unfit for service
ii) Candidates whose speech or hearing or sight are impaired are not eligible for service 
iii) Candidates who suffer from stammering and stuttering are not eligible for service.


12. SELECTION PROCEDURE / SCHEME

The Selection Procedure / Scheme of the Exam will be as follows:
A) Written Examination: Candidates will be required to appear for a written examination 
in two papers (each of three hours duration). Both papers will be set in English language 
only. The syllabus is given in ANNEXURE-I.

 Note:

i) Paper-I will be objective in nature containing 200 questions. Paper-I will be either 

Online or Offline (OMR based). 

ii) If conducted Offline, Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet 

using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose candidates should bring Blue / 

Black Ball Point pens along with them.

iii) Paper-II will be descriptive in nature and the syllabus is with special emphasis on 

Pleading and Drafting. The Candidates have to answer the questions using blue / black 

Ball point pen in the question-cum-answer booklet which will be supplied by TSLPRB. 

iv) The minimum marks to be secured by candidates in order to qualify in the written examination is 40% for OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SCs and STs in each paper. 

v) For each question in Paper-I, the Candidate shall be awarded full marks assigned to the question, if he/ she chooses the correct answer. In case the Candidate has not chosen any answer, the Candidate will be awarded zero marks for that question. In all other cases, 25% of the full marks designated for the question shall be awarded as negative mark for 

that question. 

vi) Paper-II of only those Candidates who qualify in the Paper-I shall be evaluated.

B) Selection: The final selection in each category will be strictly on relative merit of the Candidates, obtained by them based on their aggregate score in the written examination in Papers I and II (200 marks) duly following the special representation as laid down in Rule 22 and sub rule 2 of Rule 22-A of Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules and as per para 9 above. As per G.O. Ms. No. 124 of General Administration (SPF.MC) Dept., dated 30-08-2018 while filling up the vacancies, the first 5% of the posts shall be filled following combined merit list of Candidates and thereafter, the remaining 95% of the posts shall be filled up by local Candidates only. When two or more Candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the Candidate who was born earlier.

13. RESERVATION TO LOCAL CANDIDATES

Reservation to local candidates is applicable as per the provisions of Telangana State 
Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres & Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 2018. Candidates claiming reservation as local candidates should enclose the required Study Certificates (from I class to VII class). Residence Certificate in the proforma only should be enclosed for those candidates who have not studied in Government Educational Institutions or Government recognized Educational Institutions. Candidates who studied in institutions that are private and not recognized by the Government have to necessarily submit Residence Certificate.

Definition of Local Candidate:

Local Candidate:

(1) A candidate for direct recruitment to any post shall be regarded as a local candidate in 
relation to a local area –
(a) In cases where a minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for recruitment 
to the posts –
(i) If he has studied in an educational institution or educational institutions in such 
local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending 
with the academic year in which he appeared or, as the case may be, first 
appeared for the relevant qualifying examination; or 
(ii) where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years 
ending with the academic year in which he appeared or as the case may be first 
appeared for the relevant qualifying examination he has not studied in any 
educational institution, if he has resided in that local area for a period of not 
less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the 
qualifying examination in which he appeared, or as the case may be, first 
appeared.
(b) In cases where no minimum educational qualifications has been prescribed for 
recruitment to the post, if he has resided in that local area for a period of not less than 
four years immediately preceding the date on which the post is notified for recruitment.
Explanations:- For the purpose of this paragraph –
(i) ‘educational institution’ means a University or any educational institution recognized by 
the State Government, a University or other competent authority;
(ii) relevant qualifying examination in relation to a post means,-
(a) the examination, a pass in which is the minimum educational qualification prescribed 
for the post;
(b) the Seventh Class examination or an examination declared by the State Government 
to be equivalent to the Seventh Class examination;
whichever is lower ; 
(iii) in reckoning the consecutive academic years during which a candidate has studied, any 
period of interruption of his study by reason of his failure to pass any examination shall be 
disregarded; 
(iv) the question, whether any candidate for direct recruitment to any post has resided in any 
local area shall be determined with reference to the places where the Candidate actually 
resided and not with reference to the residence of his parents or other guardian.
(2) A candidate for direct recruitment to any post who is not regarded as a local candidate 
under sub-paragraph (1) in relation to any local area shall
(a) in cases where a minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for 
recruitment to the post –
(i) If he has studied in educational institutions in the State for a period of not less than 
seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he 
appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for the relevant qualifying 
examination be regarded as a local candidate in relation to –
(A) Such local area where he has studied for the maximum period out of the 
said period of seven years; or 
(B) Where the periods of his study in two or more local areas are equal, such 
local areas where he has studied last in such equal periods; 
(ii) If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending 
with the academic year in which he appeared or as the case may be first appeared 
for the relevant qualifying examination, he has not studied in the educational 
institutions in any local area, but has resided in the State during the whole of the 
said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to –
(A) Such local area where he has resided for the maximum period out of the 
said period of seven years; or 
(B) Where the periods of his residence in two or more local areas are equal, 
such local area where he has resided last in such equal periods; 
(b) In cases where no minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for 
recruitment to the post, if he has resided in the State for a period of not less than seven years immediately preceding the date on which the post is notified for 
recruitment, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to –
(i) such local area where he has resided for the maximum period out of the said 
period of seven years; or 
(ii) where the periods of his residence in two or more local areas are equal such local 
area where he has resided last in such equal periods.

14. CAPTURE AND AUTHENTICATION OF BIOMETRICS

TSLPRB will take fingerprints and photographs of the Candidates at the time of attending written examination (Paper I and II) and whenever required.

15. LOCAL CADRE REGULATION

Recruitment to the Posts shall be made as per the provisions of Telangana State Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres & Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 2018 subject to the outcome of the litigation pending before the Hon’ble Courts, and pertinent orders to be issued by the Government in this regard, if any.

16. SELECTION TO BE PROVISIONAL

The selection of the Candidates will be provisional and shall be subject to verification 
of the original certificates, antecedents and medical fitness.

17. INCLUSION IN MERIT LIST DOES NOT CONFER ANY RIGHTS

Mere admission to any test or inclusion of a Candidate’s name in Merit List shall not 
confer on him / her any right for selection / appointment to such service, class or category. 
The provisional selection of the Candidates to the Posts mentioned in this Notification is
subject to several other requirements mentioned herein.

18. VERIFICATION OF ANTECEDENTS

No person shall be eligible for appointment to any service by direct recruitment 
unless the selection authority and the appointing authority are satisfied that his/her character 
and antecedents are such as to qualify him/her for such service. 

19. DISQUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT

The disqualification for appointment as mentioned under Rule 12 (4) of Telangana 
State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 including those pertaining to suppression of 
material facts in the Application Form / Attestation Form, shall be applicable.

20. SUPRESSION / WITHHOLDING OF FACTS – NOT ADVISABLE

Suppression of material facts or withholding any factual information in the 
Application or Attestation Form (which would be supplied to the Candidates who are 
declared provisionally selected) will disqualify the Candidate from being considered for 
appointment.

21. DISCHARGE FROM SERVICE AFTER APPOINTMENT

In the event of any information being found false or incorrect or if ineligibility is 
detected at any time even after appointment, such Candidate shall be discharged from service 
forthwith by the appointing authority without giving any notice.
 

22. PENSION RULES

The employees who are appointed on or after 01-09-2004 are covered by the 
Contributory Pension Scheme. The existing Pension Scheme as per the State Revised 
Pension Rules, 1980 will not be applicable to them. 

23. DECISION OF TSLPRB TO BE FINAL

The decision of the TSLPRB in all aspects pertaining to the Application and its 
acceptance or rejection as the case may be, conduct of Examination at all consequent stages 
culminating in the selection or otherwise of any Candidate shall be final in all respects. 
The TSLPRB also reserves the right to alter or modify any conditions laid down in the 
Notification for conducting the recruitment as warranted by any unforeseen circumstances 
arising during the course of this recruitment process or as deemed necessary by the 
TSLPRB at any stage of the recruitment.
